So you can try both and see which one is right for your dog. It can be awkward for a dog to use the brace for the first time. So allow up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace. Gradually increase the wearing time of 30 to 60 minutes per day, increasing 30 minutes each day after, for up to 12 hours. Velcro and strap can be tightened a little bit if the dog can accept it. After wearing the brace, reward the pet with snacks and encourage them to walk with it. Two angled medical aluminum splints are removable. Read more Instructions Without Anchor Kit 1. Prepare the knee brace by opening the straps and remove the anchor kit . Make sure the back strap is attached to the inner thigh buckle.(figure 1) 2. Align the stabilizer ring on the brace with the dog's knee，pass all Velcro straps through the buckle and close tightly, securing all Velcro straps to the leg.(figure 2) 3. Pass the back strap under the abdomen and over the back. Insert into the top buckle of the knee brace and close tightly.(figure 3,4) 4. Fasten the velcro part of the harness strap to the middle of the back strap, and pass the other end to the collar or harness.(figure 5,6,7) Instructions With Anchor Kit 1. Prepare the knee brace by opening all the Velcro straps on the it.(figure 1) 2. Align the stabilizer ring on the brace with the dog's knee, pass all Velcro straps through the buckle and close tightly, securing all Velcro straps to the leg.(figure 2) 3. Pass the back strap over the dog back, open the anchor kit and fasten to the top of the other leg, fit tightly with the Velcro strap. Adjust the back straps connecting the knee brace and the anchor kit to the proper tightness.(figure 3) 4. Fasten the velcro part of the harness strap to the middle of the back strap, and pass the other end to the collar or harness.(figure 4,5,6)
